The plastic is malleable. TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) filament is a very flexible material that is highly resistant to repeated impacts and many chemicals. Parts printed with TPU are very durable and offer good resistance to heat and cold. This type of filament provides excellent layer adhesion during printing. It is even recommended to apply a layer of Fila3D adhesive to your print bed to help with removal. The elasticity of this filament makes it more difficult to print, and its composition requires higher nozzle and bed temperatures than PLA. A direct drive system is highly recommended. We recommend placing the filament spool above your printer to avoid any filament tension during printing. A low printing speed will be beneficial for this product, as well as slight retraction to limit abrupt movements. Using hairspray on your print bed can help improve adhesion at the start of printing. This filament is ideal for printing protective cases for cell phones and very durable remote-controlled car tires. TPU 95A is quite robust and similar to tire rubber.
